Treat people with respect
Disagree with ideas without harassing people. Do not threaten violence, organize dogpiles, stalk someone, repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, or attack people because of characteristics such as race, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender or sexual orientation.
Protect young people
nook is for ages 13 and older, subject to any higher local minimum. People under 18 must stay out of adult-only areas. Do not lie about your age or help someone bypass restrictions. Sexual exploitation, grooming, sexualized content involving anyone under 18, and requests for sexual content from a minor are prohibited. Report suspected exploitation without downloading, reposting or circulating the material.
Respect privacy and consent
Do not publish someone's private contact details, address, identification documents, credentials or intimate material without permission. Nonconsensual intimate imagery, including fabricated or AI-generated imagery, is prohibited. Never ask for a wallet recovery phrase or private key. Keep private-community information within its intended audience.
Keep content appropriate
Pornography, sexual solicitation, exploitation and content promoting violence or dangerous illegal acts are prohibited. Do not post graphic material to shock or target people. Use the available mature-content labels for permitted sensitive discussions. An 18+ label does not make otherwise prohibited content acceptable.
Be honest
Do not run scams, impersonate someone deceptively, distribute malware, manipulate votes or engagement, or spam communities. Disclose relevant financial interests when recommending something. A verified wallet or community badge is not proof that an investment is safe. Do not promise guaranteed returns or pretend to speak for nook without authorization.
Share what you have the right to share
Respect copyrights and other rights. Give appropriate credit, follow a community's topic and posting rules, and avoid duplicate promotions. Do not use nook to arrange prohibited sales or evade another service's restrictions.
Use safety tools responsibly
Report concerning content through its menu and block accounts when needed. Give enough context for review without adding unnecessary private information. Do not abuse reporting tools or evade a restriction through another account. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Moderation and appeals
Moderators and nook can remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or close communities. Decisions consider context, severity and repeated behavior; serious violations can lead to immediate removal. Community moderators must follow nook's rules too.
If you think a decision was wrong, email usenookprotocol@gmail.com with the relevant username or content link and a concise explanation. Do not send passwords, private keys or recovery phrases. We will review the information and explain what we can about the outcome while protecting other people's privacy.
